I go to bed exhausted and fall asleep quickly, after an hour or two, I wake, and am wide awake until early hours in the morning. I lay there often, willing myself to go back to sleep, my thoughts take over; reminding me of what needs to be done at work, how my children are growing up so fast, what I missed, how I have little time to engage with my family, how my wife looked at me this morning when I didn’t have time to talk. My body and mind heavy, I get up and go to work.
